Weekend of 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours.
My weekend. Decided to do 4x4x48. Few tips and breakdown of literal suffering.
Run number one. 4 AM.
Woke up at 3:30. Did some breathing, light stretching, and off to the races.
You see, when your brain doesn't understand what you gonna do then it operates to the usual state of mind. I have been running at 4 or 5 in my life so it’s not that I am doing something I haven’t done in my life you know.
I went to bed around 9, so I was sleeping at 9:30. Good 6 hours. Quality ones.
The day before the first run I did some Yoga. I called my friend to ask what he thinks about the idea that I would do a floating tank before running and he suggested I do Yoga instead, I was like: Hell yes, sounds like a good idea to me.
So I did Yoga at his class with 7 other women haha, it felt amazing. I was smiling back home. I felt amazing physically and mentally.
Going back to the first run, I was surprised by how warm it was and little to no wind, so the conditions were perfect for a run.
I started at my normal 5:05 pace, but then slowed down a bit, just wanted to feel the rhythm you know. I could do 5:05 pretty easily but I just wanted to get my feet under me to feel alright while running.
Even though there were times when I felt a slight pain in my knee and on my right foot. I just did not let it affect me at all you know. There wasn’t a single thought about not doing this shit.
Did my run in just a little bit over 36 mins.
Came back home. Did some stretching for good 20 minutes and started work early.
Run number two 8 AM:
In the beginning, it was so much easier because I had some food. It’s easier to do anything when you’re not hungry. Lol. I choose a different route. Want to change as much as possible, even though I created 4 of them I think I’ll stick to 3.
It’s not about fucking sightseeing it’s about getting this fucking run done.
